Narrative: Unearthed by the donor on his property in South Harbour, NS in 2019.
 
Description: Clear glass bottle with embossed markings on sides and base. Side panels are depressed or sunken. Both facing panels are not embossed. Lip has a continuous-thread finish for a screw cap.


 
History of Use: The Chas. H. Fletcher Castoria brand was widely produced since1890  when Charles H Fletcher used his facsimile signature as the trademark. This bottle may be dated to a specific period based on its characteristics. The continuous-thread was introduced ca 1936. Around 1940 the style changed to no sunken side panels and short necks, retaining the continuous threading.
